Curiously, while Google Play Movies & TV is on Roku, Google Play Music isn't. Music is also covered, with Amazon Music, Spotify, and SiriusXM. All major network apps are present, including HBO Now and Showtime, along with much more specific regional and genre-focused channels for news, sports, weather, and health. You can access Amazon, Google Play, Hulu, Netflix, Sling TV, Vudu, YouTube, and hundreds more. Roku has one of the most robust selections of services among all major media streamer platforms, and nearly every big name is available here. The Element Roku TV can access all of the same streaming services and apps as the Roku Streaming Stick+. It isn't an enhanced Roku remote like the one included with the TCL 55P607 ( at Amazon) (Opens in a new window), so it's infrared-only and doesn't feature a headphone jack for private listening (though you can use the Roku app and your smartphone to listen to the TV wirelessly with headphones). A volume rocker and mute button sit on the right side of the remote. Four dedicated service buttons sit below the playback buttons and offer access to Hulu, Netflix, Starz, and Vudu. If you can spend a bit more, TCL and Vizio both offer much more appealing alternatives. This 50-inch television has a remarkably low $368 price tag, but its mediocre contrast performance reinforces the idea that you get what you pay for. Element recently introduced its own model, the simply named Element Roku TV. TCL's excellent P-series and C-series TVs use Roku TV, for instance, as do several Hisense and Sharp models. The Roku TV platform has enabled many lesser-known and budget TV manufacturers to offer connected sets with streaming services.
